FINAL REFLECTION-short story

Once upon a time there was a girl named Myra. On 9/11 she was in her Math class with her best friend Betsy when the news came; someone had crashed into one of the twin towers. Myra was immediately dismissed and sent home with her Step Dad, Mark. Mark was very quiet at first when Myra got home and that's when Myra was confused. Her little brother Dustin was sitting in his room just playing with his Lego's like nothing had happened. Myra spoke up and asked what was going on and finally Mark said something. "Myra, your mother was on the 87th floor, and hasn't called since the towers were hit."Myra's reaction was shock; not crying, punching things, just anything. All Myra did was just sit there and stare. Mark didn't know what to tell little Dustin. Soon Myra realized that she would have to move on and sadly live with her real dad, Walter. She never really talked to her dad Walter except when he would send letters. Soon it happened, she was there. She soon then also realized that she was going to have to make new friends. She began by lying about who she was which was a horrible idea. Myra began by saying she lived in a huge house and her dad was a doctor and how happy she was. But soon she'd realize when she met a boy that she wouldn't be able to die. There was a boy named Dalton, he met Myra and began to build a crush. She knew she wouldn't be able to lie and have to just tell the truth. Dalton was so moved by Myra's story that they began a very healthy relationship. Finally in the end she was happy living with her father Walter, and soon she realized life wasn't so bad after all.
